C.M.C / Tylo (Petal Powder) can be used as a binder and thickener for sugar paste and is great for firming up fondant icing so it is more pliable. Simply knead the petal powder into your paste to turn it into gum paste. To make edible glue, mix 1/4 teaspoon of CMC/Tylose powder with 2 tablespoons of water. For a thicker, more paste-like consistency, you can use less water or more powder. The mixture must be allowed to sit (ideally for 1–2 hours or overnight) until it becomes clear and gel-like.
